Moonen Shipyards in The Netherlands has signed the contract for its largest superyacht to date, the Moonen 133. Engineering has already started on this impressive order by a repeat client who has already owned a Moonen 84 and a Moonen 97. When launched in 2012 this will be the smallest luxury motoryacht ever to carry a submarine for 2 persons and 100 metres depth.

Moonen Shipyards has been commissioned for a unique project to finish a 120 ft yacht designed by Bill Dixon which was started by Royal Denship in Denmark before bankruptcy. Around a quarter of the semi-displacement motoryacht had been completed when the Danish yard went into administration in June 2009.

Moonen Shipyards in the Netherlands has launched the third yacht in its impressive line of 30-metre steel-hulled displacement cruisers. Named Livia, this new Moonen 97 is distinguished by a truly original ‘New England/American Beach House’ interior from Art-Line and much else besides.

Etoile d'Azur, the seventh in the highly successful Moonen 84 series, crossed the Atlantic Ocean last December, from Gibraltar to Sint Maarten, via the Azores (3.350 nm). Delivered to her owner in May 2007, she is the first Moonen 84 to do so since the series was initiated in 2002, proving that this "pocket-size superyacht" has the range and reliability worthy of the name.

The Moonen 124 evolved several years ago out of a preliminary design for a Moonen 120. At the time, the Moonen 120 was to be the largest of a new Displacement Series being developed by Moonen and René van der Velden Yacht Design. When the hull was stretched to 124 feet, as the design evolved with the client's valued input, Stolk Marimecs re-calculated the naval architecture and approved the hull at the new length and displacement.

The Moonen “99 Alu” is a careful development of the first Fast Range Series model, the four-cabin Moonen “94 Alu. ” The “99 Alu,” like her smaller sisters, was drawn by René van der Velden Design.

Moonen is pleased to announce the launch of the first "99 Alu," Phoebe, a stretched version of the "94 Alu" in the shipyard's Semi-Displacement Fast Yacht Series. Phoebe was hauled out of the construction hall in Moonen's main's-Hertogenbosch facility on Saturday 6 June and lowered into the water by Travelift. Turnover to her owners, after sea trials, is set for July 2009.

On Saturday, 25 April 2009, the longest, highest-displacement yacht Moonen Shipyards has built, the 38-metre Moonen 124, was brought out of her construction hall and launched into the Lek River. She had been under construction in Moonen's Groot-Ammers hall since 3 May 2008, when her steel hull and aluminium superstructure were delivered by barge, then welded together.
