World Premieres at the Linssen Yachts Boat Show 2007
The ninth annual Linssen Yachts Boat Show, traditionally held at the beginning of December, closed on Monday 3 December. The five-day event concluded with a party for the entire Linssen staff. The event organised by the Maasbracht-based boatyard began with the unveiling of two new boats in Linssen's successful "9" series. Approximately 450 invitees enjoyed an exciting light show, a presentation on two mega-screens, and the spectacular unveiling ceremony. After resounding applause, 450 glasses were raised in a toast to the new boats.
The new Linssen Grand Sturdy 40.9 (12.85 x 4.30 m) was unveiled in two versions: the “AC” (with aft cabin and outdoor helmsman’s position) and the “Sedan” (with spacious open cockpit, indoor helmsman’s position and Variodeck® sliding roof). The new 12.85 m Linssens are notable for their very spacious interiors.
The “AC” version has three separate cockpits (the “Sedan” has two), including private WC and shower compartments. The roomy saloon, dinette and galley are all on a single level, resulting in a comfortable, open-plan interior. These are motor cruisers designed for long trips on Europe’s waterways.
Linssen also organised the 2007 Linssen Dealer Conference for its international dealers. It has importers and agents in twenty European countries who have joined forces in a subdealer/agent network. Linssen’s importer in Russia, for example, has no less than twelve branches strategically positioned throughout the country.
Linssen welcomed numerous visitors from its traditional sales regions who had come to inspect and admire the new boats. They were undoubtedly impressed by what they saw, with customers from the Benelux, France, Germany and the UK all placing orders. The large number of visitors from the former East Bloc confirmed that an economic upturn is in progress in those countries. For example, Linssen received orders from customers in Slovenia, Serbia, Russia and the Ukraine.
Linssen Yachts took orders for 28 boats during the show. Its dealers were unanimously positive about the many serious prospects at the boat show, many of whom will be sure to sign on the dotted line in the months ahead for the purchase of their dream boat.
Linssen’s “in-house” boat show has become one of the most important sales events on the Linssen Yachts calendar. Indeed, it is even more important to the boatyard than the annual BOOT fair in Düsseldorf.
