The Custom Designed 70' Nordia Performance Cruiser

Designing and building a luxury Ocean-going yacht is a very personal matter. Every Owner has his own ideas about what will be ideal for him. The Nordia sailing yachts are therefore designed and built as an individual project in which any personal wishes can be gratified in the minutes detail.
The 70' Nordia Performance Cruiser is an exciting new light-displacement design. As a leading Dutch yard Van Dam Nordia has already earned global renown for its fully customised sailing yachts, which offer bluewater cruising in luxury and style.
As the name suggests, the 70' Nordia Performance Cruiser combines these cruising characteristics with a powerful sailing performance. In doing so, it meets the increasing desire among luxury yacht owners to also be able to compete during regattas around the world.
Built in Alustar to the highest Dutch standards, the hull, keel and rudder shape have been optimised by computer simulation to ensure speeds worthy of any regatta race. In addition to these performance parameters, careful consideration has also been given to the layout to further enhance the dual-purpose signature of the 70' Nordia Performance Cruiser.
Examples include a large and exceptionally safe cockpit, single or double steering stations, and the option to use one of the guest bathrooms as a day head when a full racing crew is onboard. Whether racing or relaxing, the views from the large pilot house are excellent.
The Van Dam Nordia Design team has accepted no compromises in terms of the creature comforts that owners and guests require when cruising. The yacht has a sophisticated modern interior, which sleeps eight people in four cabins. Three of the cabins have double beds and the fourth has bunks; all have surprisingly spacious ensuite bathrooms. The final accommodation layout will be designed in accordance with the requirements of the Owner.
The 70' Nordia Performance Cruiser also has a large engine room, with sufficient room to accommodate all the systems. This greatly facilitates accessibility for maintenance, ensuring that no floors or other sections of the yacht have to be dismantled when service is required.
With the 70’ Nordia Performance Cruiser, Robert van Dam and his design team have not only created a sailing yacht of exceptional beauty, quality and individuality, they also endowed the ship with the highest possible degree of seaworthiness. In short, the 70’ Nordia Performance Cruiser has been designed for the exacting Owner, who will only be satisfied with the best. Final building specifications and drawings are made in accordance with the Owners requirements.
In the yacht building industry it often happens that a project starts on relatively poor specifications while the list of additional extras grows to extreme proportions in the course of construction.
It may be expected that this practice can lead to differences of opinion and unpleasant frustrating discussions. Van Dam Nordia Yachts, however, shows a totally different attitude to this matter.
This abridge specification of the 70’ Nordia Performance Cruiser covers a luxury Ocean going sailing yacht, custom designed and soundly built to the highest level of perfection and fully equipped.
