New Azimut 47 Awarded "Boat Of The Year 2007"

The new AZIMUT 47 Fly bridge, premiered worldwide at Genoa 2006 International Boat Show, won the prestigious Award “Boat of the Year” presented by the monthly magazine Vela e Motore, sponsored by SelmaBipiemme Leasing Gruppo Bancario Mediobanca and dedicated to the best motorboat recently introduced in the market.

The prize was awarded yesterday, during a Gala evening at Genoa Aquarium, to the Chief Executive Officer of Azimut Yachts, Federico Martini together with Ruggero Gandolfi, head of the team of Engineers who developed the new model, the exteriors designer Stefano Righini and the interior designer Carlo Galeazzi.
The jury, composed by journalists, engineers and experts, has selected the new Azimut 47 recognizing the outstanding light and elegance of the interiors, the sense of conviviality expressed by the innovative layout and her elegance characterized by sophisticated details and high quality materials.

“We are honoured to receive this award” – said Federico Martini, CEO Azimut Yachts – “which celebrates a most successful season for our company, highligted by continuous innovation, and a relentless search for quality and excellence. The Boat of the Year award represents an important recognition of both the boat original concept and the outstanding work done by the team of engineers who designed and built her, working with passion and determination”.

A success also tributed by the Boat Show public: over 30 orders were already collected from customers all over the world after the first two days of exhibition.
