MOCHI CRAFT, trend setter in the motoryacht world thanks to its creation of the Italian Lobster Boat Style, has been present in Genoa with the brand new Dolphin 64' fly, the flybridge version of the lobster boat, resplendent in a special aquamarine green - a perfect balance of versatility, elegance, performance and on board comfort.
After enjoying outstanding success with the sun top version - the revolutionary innovation with soft sunpads on the deck cover for up to three people - MOCHI CRAFT offers the alternative flybridge version that offers passengers the opportunity to relax on a terrace over the sea. The flybridge, easily accessible with a wooden and steel stairway from the cockpit, is in fact a salon where the owner can pilot the boat in the company of his or her guests.
The captain's seat integrates perfectly into the surroundings, and is situated behind the grill and fridge unit. Enjoying both sun and sailing is made more convenient by a large U-shaped divan that can be shaded with a bimini, while further aft is a comfy sunpad for true sunbathing luxury.
The refined, elegant livery emphasises the commitment to uniqueness Norberto Ferretti, president of the Group, wanted to achieve with his acquisition of the brand in 2001, and thanks to collaboration between the Victory Design studio and AYT - Advanced Yacht Technology, the Ferretti Group's Engineering Division - this desire is now embodied by craft that reinterpret New England lobster boats with an Italian touch.
In true MOCHI CRAFT style, the Dolphin 64' fly also makes an impression with its rounded, harmonious hull shape, the use of fine woods and leather and the sophisticated design of the details - like the solid, natural finish teak gunwales and handrails - reaching an ultimate expression in the masterly craft work of the bitts, milled from a single block of steel and featuring an engraved dolphin, the symbol of the shipyard. In addition to the aquamarine green, the Dolphin 64' fly is also available in turquoise, coral and cream yellow, as well as the more classic deep blue and amaranth.
As is traditional for this style of boat, originally developed in Maine to catch lobsters, the cockpit is very spacious and is fitted with a comfortable bench divan astern and a small corner sofa, creating a real outdoor lounge that can also shaded with a canopy. The options include a fixed table and another divan on the transom. The garage, with electro-hydraulic opening, is below the cockpit and houses a ready-inflated tender.
A glass sliding door and pivoting window allow plenty of light to enter and optimise space. They also separate the cockpit from the dinette, where there are two large, symmetrical corner sofas - the starboard sofa provides seating for the dining table. The kitchen is located portside, towards the bow, and boasts every mod con - large fridge, combined microwave oven and dishwasher. The kitchen is separated from the dinette by a TV unit for a Lcd tv screen.
The helm station is to starboard, with a tip-up two-seater leather chair providing access to all the yacht controls.
The lower deck layout comprises three cabins and three bathrooms. The master suite offers a complete range of comforts and, thanks to its position at the centre of the boat, guarantees extreme stability, even when the boat is moored at sea.
The suite also has a sumptuous 5 square metre bathroom unusually large for a 19 metre craft - divided into 3 areas to offer maximum privacy and convenience. Beneath a large window there are two retro-style washbasins with classically elegant star taps, a shower that can accommodate two in comfort and a satinised glass sliding door to separate the head. As all the yacht, the master cabin has teak striped maple flooring.
MOCHI CRAFT aims to pamper guests, too, with a large VIP cabin in the bows and another double cabin in the centre of the boat.
The VIP cabin is provided with light and air by the porthole positioned above the large double bed, and by two large windows on both sides that brush the surface of the sea, offering direct contact with the waves and the sea's changing moods. The bed is raised, making room for four large drawers underneath. The port and starboard walls are fitted with numerous cupboards and two wardrobes. Guests in the VIP cabin have their own large, welcoming bathroom, with WC and a shower, which can be accessed from both the cabin and the corridor.
The crew cabin is accessed from the cockpit, and has bunk-beds for two people and an extra bed if required, as well as a private bathroom.
The Dolphin 64' fly can accommodate two latest generation Common Rail 1100 Mhp MAN V10 or 1224 Mhp MAN V12 engines, powering the yacht to a cruising speed of 28 knots and a top speed of 32 knots.
Comfort and stability are granted by the variable geometry deep Vee keel and deadrise angle of 19° with longitudinal steps and Flexitab composite flaps.
It is also possible to install Mitsubishi ARG Anti Rolling Gyro System stabilisers on board. This system is exclusive to the Ferretti Group and can reduce the rolling caused by wave motion, both during navigation and when moored, by over 50%.
Like all the yachts in the fleet, the quality of the Dolphin 64' fly is underpinned by the excellence of the company's construction and assembly processes, which have led to the award of ISO 9001 and the module Aa Noise Emission according to standard UNI EN ISO 14509, which responds to the demands of EC Directive 94/25 as amended by 2003/44/EC concerning environmental pollution.
