M2 60 Sedan -A World Class Performance
The new M2 60' high speed design that will compete in the high end luxury and sport fishing market. The manufacture of the first three advanced composite boats has begun at M2.
The 60' design is unique in that it is based on the proven race winning performance of the high speed catamaran hull form as opposed to the more traditional deep V hull. This hull form has been dominating offshore racing for nearly 20 years due to a combination of hydrodynamic efficiency and outstanding sea keeping ability, qualities generally not ascribed to the deep V hull.
The 60' embraces these qualities without any sacrifice to accommodation or luxury. The efficiency of the platform will allow for a top speed well over 50 knots with twin 800 hp engines.
The interior of the 60' is based around a two cabin with en-suite layout that takes advantage of the cat hull form with its center tunnel and near vertical topsides.
The results are both spacious and luxurious. Also, unusual for the class is the unobstructed aft deck which creates a world class fishing platform as well as open entertaining area. Engine access is through the cockpit with separate plant rooms located forward of the engines that are accessed from inside the boat.
