Hanse 470e On Display At Genoa International Boat Show
The Hanse 470e can be recognized as a “total work of art” even at first blush. This impression is no accident. It has its reasons, and the reasons are in the details. These include the care with which the teak deck is installed. The low-slung coach house gives it an appearance of greater length. The unobtrusive technical equipment takes second place to the joy of sailing.
The Hanse 470e also offers you more than one option when it comes to interior fi ttings. Satin mahogany is the Hanse standard. Cherry is one of the options that the owner may choose.
The similar matte facings of the overhead lockers in the navigation area and in the galley go well with the fine satin finish. Cooking on a Hanse takes place in a complete galley, not in the salon.
The sofas are a story unto themselves: Hanse deluxe. We have transformed the three-seater sofa on the port side in front of the dining table to include stowage space for your wine. A footrest pulls out of the sofa opposite.
470e Hanse owners do certain things a bit differently. They know, for instance, that when moored stern-to up on the Mediterranean, the bow is where it is quiet. And that is precisely where we have put the owner’s cabin in the Hanse 470e, along with a private offi ce in the version with a king-size bed. Although the Hanse does not come with a combined WC/shower unit, in its place is a bathroom with CorianTM surfaces and a seat in the separate shower.
Your friends will live astern. Or the children. Or the regatta crew. In any event, this suite in the stern is guaranteed to make anyone feel comfortably at home with its ample headroom and the ease with which it allows one to climb out of the double bed. Here one is not disturbed by a bridge deck. Should you decide to live astern yourself, however, we can only congratulate you on your choice.
The choice of wood is not the only element on board this Hanse that is left to taste. The culinary possibilities aboard a Hanse are also worth taking a closer look. At Hanse we have assigned the galley its own area, and at the center of motion in the hull. There you will also fi nd the navigation area - opposite.
Our standard design has the halyards running from the blocks on the mast on an electric winch. And the nearly 50 square meter jib is selftacking. The two wheels also fi t right in with the size of the Hanse 470e. The helmsman can stand far to leeward or far to windward. to command a better view. There is no steering column to obstruct the path from the stern to the superstructure. The Hanse’s trimmable tapered mast with its three spreaders gives your Hanse 470e the appearance of of greater speed.
Aboard your Hanse 470e you will also find a sticker inscribed with “GL Yacht Plus.” That is the Germanischer Lloyd seal of assurance.
For this reason you will also receive, along with your Hanse 470e, checks for a service plan. The checkbook will record maintenance and reconstruction work. You are already familiar with this in connection with your car. So maintaining the value of your Hanse or its resale value should require no further discussion.
