Etap 28s - Boat of the Year Nominee in the US
The ETAP 28s has been nominated for the “Boat of the Year 2008” award in the U.S. Initiated by Cruising World sailing magazine, the Boat of the Year award is the biggest annual honors in sailboat building.

Cruising World nominated 24 boats in six categories. The ETAP 28s was nominated in the category Small Cruisers. Normally this category doesn’t allow boats < 30’ but the judges liked the ETAP 28s so much that they decided she could participate.

Two independent judging panels of industry experts have evaluated and tested the boats with extensive dockside inspections during the Annapolis U.S. Sailboat Show and sea trials in the days immediately following. They have considered design, construction, seaworthiness, performance , purpose of the boat, fitness for the use intended and cost. The awards will focus on production boats laid out and equipped for coastal and offshore cruising and voyaging.

The winner will be announced in the January issue of Cruising world.
