Canados 86 - Unique & Elegant
Twenty six metres, eighty-seven feet in length, the Canados 86, is a yacht true to tradition but projected into the future yet true to yard’s tradition. She, immediately seems like a much larger bigger yacht than its actual size because of small and ingenious tricks in the layout design.

Both the main deck and the fly deck seem to be separate areas. They are large spaces extending without interruption, where the areas are divided according their use without rigid separating elements. As well as custom-made interiors, great care has been taken in the design of the outdoor areasoutdoor areas of the Canados 86 for living in the company of friends and relations, as seen in the open fly deck, the open-air dining room at the stern and the numerous sun-bathing areas.

The Canados combines refined customized interiors and carefully thought out fittings with an elegant external line destined to last over time and a hull that is reliable and efficient in all sea conditions. The yacht is constructed following the tastes of the owner on the one hand, and using the skill of the long tradition of Canados master carpenters on the other.

The layout of the interiors includes a living area, dining area, and galley, day toilet, and pilothouse on the main deck, 4 cabins with 4 private heads in the lower deck and a comfortable area for the crew in the bow. The result is yacht that is however and always a unique one.

The Canados 86’ immediately strikes you for the elegance of its line, with a sloping bow and a deck structure that appears important without ever seeming imposing.

Access on board from the teak stern is off-centre towards the port bulkhead, a solution that creates movement in the rounded transom, achieving a pleasant asymmetry that emphasises the modern style of the its design.

As soon as you climb on board, it is possible to sense perceive the care taken by the shipyard’s technical office when in designing the common areas dedicated to life in the open air. The stern cockpit, panelled in teak, is the perfect area for breakfast, an aperitif and, why not, even dinner with friends in the most pleasant seasons. The oval table, skilfully made by a dedicated department of the shipyard, seats eight people very comfortably.

At the bow is one of the two external solariums, a spacious area to laze in the sun, alone or with friends, on soft water-repellent cushions. The area for manoeuvring the anchor, equipped with an electric windlass of 3500 Watts with remote remotely controlled, does not interfere with the sunbathing area for relaxation and sunbathing. To the sides of the solarium area are two large peaks for stowing the fenders.

From the stern cockpit the ladder to the right of the main bridge leads to the flybridge, one of the jewels in the crown of the Canados 86’, the dimensions of which are usually only found in larger sized yachts. Even and above all here, the desire to create spacious open areas can be clearly seen.

It is only once when you have passed the tempered glass door leading into the main deck that you realise just how large this twenty-six metre eighty-seven feet yacht is. The large living area appears to be a single space without dividing elements, open up to the glass partitions of the control deck, but still able to provide a place for everything in every moment of the day.

All furnishings, depending on the requests of the owner, can be made in light maple, matt cherry or other types of wood. The workmanship is proof of the quality production of the shipyard’s master carpenters technicians. Quality yet functionality! In fact, the shipyard has taken great care of comfort on board the Canados 86: all items, from cutlery to plates, from glasses to bottles have a precise place in the furniture designed to house them.

The side surfaces are lined in wood, and the ceiling has a lacquered finish to increase the brightness of the living area. Venetian or different style blinds, carefully made with a modern design, enhance the large side window and enable the flow of light inside to be regulated as desired. Spotlights and table and wall lights ensure that the large living area is suitable lit during the evening. Moving towards the bow, the ladder to the lower bridge creates a kind of barrier between the salon-dining area and the second “half” of the main bridge.

The dimensions have enabled a day toilet on the port side to be made, with basin in corian or in marble, floor in inlaid cherry or maple, painted ceiling and spotlights. Along the bulkhead is the galley, seemingly oversized, but perfect, because of it large size, so that the culinary aspect is not overlooked when on a cruise.

The extreme bow is completely dedicated to the control bridge, with steering position on the starboard side and table and cabinet for the nautical charts on the port side. The walls are panelled in wood; there is wooden carpet flooring, leather on the seat and a padded dashboard complete with electronic instruments, engine controls and surveillance and alarm systems.

The lower deck is entirely dedicated to the four cabins, with the full beam owner’s suite extending across the full beam in the centre of the boat, which receives light from the large vertical portholes, three in each bulkhead. The suite has a walk-in cupboard and bathroom with rectangular shower, stereo CD system, 17” television, DVD and air conditioning. Guests have a VIP cabin in the bow and two further cabins, each with twin beds and a third, fold-away bed (optional).

Leather, elegant fabrics, marble or corian for the bathroom surfaces, lacquered panelling on the ceiling in contrast with the extensive use of wood enrich this interior deck, created for the owner and his guest to enjoy, relax and sleep. In the bathrooms, the white of the basins contrasts with the darker colour of the modern cabinets with their steel accessories; the doors have a central panel in frosted glass.

Two large cabins, one with bunk beds and one single cabin, and bathroom for the crew are located in the bow, with quality finish such as the floor made of inlaid cherry or maple.

The construction is hand-layered sandwich fibreglass for the main deck, deck erection and part of the hull; the base of the latter is in monolithic glass laminate, with external layers in vinylestervinyl ester resin.

The performance of the Canados 86’ are excellent above average. Two different types of engines can be installed: 2 MTU or CAT, each of 1,800 hp. In both case the canados 86’easily reaches a maximum speed of 33 knots and a cruising speed of 29 knots: very high speeds for this class of boatyacht. The steering and manoeuvrability are above normal, the comfort when sailing cruising is enviable and the safety is guaranteed. A beautiful super-yacht, safe and fast, in which the artisan skill of the finishing, customisation and navigation quality coexist without any compromise.
