Brand New Pershing 115
From the moment of its exciting debut at Cannes at the end of the summer, a few months have gone by and the Pershing 115' has been admired at a number of boat shows, but every time it goes on display it still leaves everyone speechless! Whatever the context, the harmony of this maxiyacht's dimensions never fail to amaze and when the craft is at sea it becomes almost impossible to guess its real size.
The sense of proportion and design in every part of the craft's concept has ensured that it is elegant, comfortable and stylishly streamlined, over and above its length and performance.
The Pershing 115' was an exciting challenge for yacht designer Fulvio De Simoni, the Pershing and Ferretti Group Engineers and all the project staff and they worked passionately on it for 18 months. And the rewards came immediately!
During the Genoa Boat Show, the Pershing 115' won the sought after "2004 ICE Award Italian Style Mega Yacht" prize. This trophy was awarded for the elegance of the vessel's interiors by a jury chaired by Beniamino Quintieri the President of the Foreign Trade Institute.
All the members of the jury were important personalities, including Federico Curti (the DeAgostini Rizzoli Publications Chairman), Giovanni Novi (the Port Authority President), Marco Saltalamacchia (the BMW Italia Chairman), Edoardo Garrone (the ERG Chairman), the Honourable Vittorio Sgarbi and the presenter, Paola Saluzzi.
This award, the endless praise, its position on the first page of numerous magazines and in particular its solid commercial success are clearly a response to the huge effort and investment that Pershing has made in terms of Staff, Research, Innovation, Design and Technology, all factors that help make Pershing one of the leading Made in Italy products.
This new Pershing flagship that has every right to be included in the maxi-yacht category, encapsulates and enhances all the features that have always distinguished Pershing yachts and made them unique on the worldwide nautical scene. Created from the study and tank testsperformed on a 15 foot model, the Pershing 115' is the ultimate interpretation of the company philosophy "Yachting Into The Future".
The layout of the Pershing 115' is characterised by original elements such as its external shape and interior spaces. Every detail features a succession of curved, sinuous lines and neat geometrical intervals that combine to express the unique elegance of Italian style.
Starting from the far bow, there is a relaxation area featuring a semi-circular sofa and a table that can be lowered into the floor to create a single, spacious sun deck protected by a retractable bimini top.
Then there is the completely private upper sun deck, a totally new feature offering an area where you can relax in the sun far from prying eyes.
The large cockpit, which can be used both by day and by night, is a vast, covered and fully equipped area, fitted with numerous seats, an extendable table, bar and of course, a spacious solarium.
Boarding the Pershing 115' is like entering an art gallery that is proud to display itself and its masterpieces.
The well known and highly regarded Italian artist Vittoria Vanghelis has contributed a series of panels to the upper lounge, an area where the predominant white of the walls and leather upholstery is tastefully coordinated with the light grey pearwood furnishings, Pershing blue doors and the red and yellow armchairs.
This refined combination gives a cosy glow to the ample, surrounding space that has been carefully designed to guarantee ultimate comfort and a pleasant friendly atmosphere both day and night.
The helm station consists of three white leather, height-adjustable chairs in front of an instrument panel boasting all the latest navigational and communication technology.
A new space has been created in the day area, located between the upper level and the lower deck.
This exclusive area featuring a private study, TV area and a day head, was achieved by revolutionising the shape of the entire superstructure. The volumes and spaces have been designed and carefully created in a perspective that marries style and living comfort.
The night zone, consisting of four cabins each with en-suite bathrooms, is particularly remarkable.
In the centre of the boat is the bright and spacious, full-beam master cabin, and in between that and the special, circular VIP cabin in the bow, are two guest cabins. Extremely comfortable crew quarters have been included in the stern, consisting of three double cabins with relative bathrooms, a laundry and a large galley. A tender can also be stowed in the spacious hanger at the end of the stern.
And as if that weren't enough the Pershing 115' also features a second hangar in the bow for keeping water-toys and a crane for launching them.
From a technical point of view, there are two different versions of the craft, both tested in the Gothenburg (Sweden) naval tank. The first reaches speeds of up to 42 knots, thanks to its twin MTU diesel engines, totalling 7400 Hp combined with two Kamewa Rolls Royce hydrojet drives.
The second version, includes all the standard engines, plus a 5100 Hp Textron Lycoming turbine, that boosts maximum speed to over 55 knots. The yacht's performance is clearly astonishing.
The Pershing 115' is remarkable for a series of different, high quality features, such as the unique, refinement of its internal and external design and the luxurious comfort it offers even when cruising at high speeds.
The appearance of this singular maxi yacht at the main international boat shows prompted unanimous and enthusiastic applause for its unique qualities, which besides arousing great excitement have also resulted in four sales.
