Beneteau 49 - Taking The Exceptional To A New Level

Twenty years after the launch of its' American manufacturing facility, Beneteau USA introduces the Beneteau 49, an exceptional yacht that marks a new level in the history of their blue water cruisers, intended for discerning owners expecting the best from the largest yacht builder in the world.
Elegance and setting new levels of expectations for a production built yacht have been the key goals in the creation of the Beneteau 49. In all endeavors the leader is expected to show the way, so breaking from the traditional approach, Beneteau reached out to the best source for conceiving the modern and exceptional.
For a dramatic interior, the Beneteau R&D office worked closely with the famous Italian designers, Nauta Yachts (best known for their signature interiors of mega yachts) to create a light, warm and welcoming atmosphere. Superbly clean lines combined with the functional demands of great yachts are the results of the expertise of these talents from Milan. From the smallest details, such as the texture of fabrics to the shape of lighting, the cohesive whole of Nauta's touch is exceptional. The dynamic and plush interior style utilizes cabinetry in Moabi hard wood, stainless steel and off-white surfaces to truly bring the Beneteau 49 to a new level of interior luxury.
By intelligent creative work, the Berret-Racoupeau naval architectural office was able to modernize the profile and look of the hull and deck while retaining the major assets that have made Beneteaus admired yachts for decades. With an ever so slightly arched coach roof and a softly aggressive sheer, the Beneteau 49 will certainly stand out in any harbor. Still allowing for all the necessary light, ventilation, clean lines, smart ergonomics, comfortable helm positions and ease of handling one would expect in the first-born of the fifth generation of Beneteaus sailing yachts.
As for her sailing qualities, when designing the hull Berret-Racoupeau laid particular importance to initial stability, efficient appendages, a manageable rig, upwind and downwind performance, at sea ability, and a balanced helm. Her sea trials in Europe have proven that they hit the mark, with rave reviews already in from the international press. As said by Bruno Belmont, the manager of sailboat development, ³a dream to sail in all conditions, setting a new high for us."
There's a new generation of Beneteau yachts coming led magnificently by the Beneteau 49. Inside and out, from production methods to fine details, you will see why we say there is always something exceptional aboard a Beneteau.
