Apreamare 60 At The Fort Lauderdale Boat Show
After having inventively redesigned the classic “gozzo Sorrentino”, transforming it from a traditional displacement hull fishing boat to a cult object valued for its aesthetics, seafaring capabilities, and speed, Apreamare presents a second generation of “gozzo sorrentino" boats, new in stylistic and technological features and innovative for the use of space.
The new flagship in the “gozzo” range, the Apreamare 60’, presented at Fort Lauderadale Boat Show as a sneak preview for USA, introduces a new line designed to respond to the need of evolution, especially from a technological standpoint, combining it with the great respect for naval tradition that is the cornerstone of the Apreamare philosophy.
"For us, this has been a new challenge that comes out of a natural bent for innovation," explains Cataldo Aprea, Managing Director of Apreamare, "as well as an ongoing quest to find ideal aesthetic and functional solutions to address the needs of pleasure boating enthusiasts who are fans of this extraordinary type of craft."
Designed in cooperation with Brunello Acampora from Victory Design, the new Apreamare 60’ has a deck house whose soft, sinuous lines follow the curves of the hull in a natural, harmonious way. In the new contours and choice of materials, Acampora's aim was to pay tribute to the skill with whom the master carpenters of Sorrento could transform lightweight, sturdy wood into “gozzo” boats that were famous around the Mediterranean. Close examination of the gozzo's history led to shapes that are distinctly modern, yet have great purity; without stylistic exaggeration, yet full of character.
The design of the interiors is another strong point in the Apreamare 60’. Below decks one accesses a luminous owner's suite that occupies the entire width of the centre of the boat, with an original bath offering a panoramic window and a spacious wardrobe. The fore cabin, on the other hand, is a VIP double cabin, with large wardrobes and a comfortable bath equipped with an extra-large shower stall. Finally, on the left is a classic two-person cabin, larger than average and also equipped with an in-suite bath.
The materials used in the decor are employed in a modern, innovative way, but are extremely classic and natural: primarily gloss and matte mahogany and cane, with metal components in mirror chromed steel. The upholstery stands out for its pastel colours and Mediterranean flavour, with a few skilful notes of natural leather.
The size and layout of the deck areas allow one to experience natural, comfortable contact with the sea, even in the bow area, where the new design of the classic horseshoe sofa--an Apreamare "invention"--is now even more inviting. Access to the sea has been made easier, with a sunken walkway leading to the new swimming platform built onto the hull.
As for the engines, Apreamare 60’ has two 1000 hp engines which allow it to reach a maximum speed of 30/31 knots and a cruising speed of 25/26 knots.
